Head of Business Development

Company Overview: Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a full-time Head of Business Development. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies.

Job Summary: Dialectic is an advisor to multiple liquid crypto funds specializing in DeFi yield strategies and two venture funds focused on the crypto space. Our business development team, currently composed of two members, is dedicated to the following core areas:

• Investor relations and fundraising: including sourcing/closing new investors, client onboarding/offboarding, and regular client reporting and updates.
• DeFi yielding partnerships: which consist of sourcing/diligence/closing/maintaining partnerships with various ecosystems and protocols to add liquidity to their DeFi ecosystems.
• Structured Products and alternative fundraising strategies.

We are seeking a full-time Head of Business Development to take ownership of and drive all verticals outlined above. Additionally, a key focus for Dialectic in 2025 will be incubating and launching Makina, an on-chain protocol centered on yield generation strategies. The ideal candidate will also support the partnerships and go-to-market strategies for Makina.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership and drive all of Dialectic’s key business development verticals described above.
• Support the go-to-market and partnerships strategy for Makina, an on-chain protocol centered around yield generation strategies being incubated by Dialectic.
• Manage high-value relationships with key external partners.

Key Requirements:

• Proven ability to source, perform due diligence, and close high-value partnerships.
• Crypto-native level industry knowledge as well as expert-level knowledge of DeFi protocols, crypto ecosystems, and emerging trends in the space.
• Ability to work autonomously and to be responsible for achieving the desired results while also contributing to the success of projects shared by the wider team.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage high-value relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity for independent and flexible thinking.
• Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty, and forthright communication. We are a team of open-minded intellectuals that utilize a dialectical approach to arrive at what is true.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

• Demonstrated expertise in growth hacking to optimize and expand sales funnels.
• 3+ years of experience in an ecosystem partnerships role for a DeFi or L1/L2 project, either as a manager or individual contributor.
• Established a network of high-potential partners that could be accretive to Dialectic’s yield strategies and/or investor base.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Data science, coding, cryptography, or a technical background is considered an asset.
• Dynamic and collegiality in a small team working in fields that are shaping the future of our society.
