Application engineer for our CPDLC solution

As an Application Engineer for our CPDLC solution at Ivy Partners, you will play a key role in managing and integrating CPDLC (Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications) solutions.

Your mission:

1. Write, review, and update the Equipment Requirements in alignment with the Product Owner.
2. Write automatic test scripts for test automation environment.
3. Execute manual and automatic tests in integrated validation environment as part of sprint work during the Build phase or during the SAT during acceptance phase and report test results.
4. Analyze and describe issues/bugs in the issues database, and participate in their classification.
5. Collaborate with systems senders, users, and other teams to understand business needs and functional specifications.
6. Act as a point of contact to clarify identified defects or related Equipment Requirements.

About you!

• You have at least 5 years of experience with the principles of communication between air traffic controllers and pilots via datalink/CPDLC/ADSC (Automatic Dependent Surveillance Contract) and have a deep understanding of these systems.
• You have proven experience in writing software specifications and software testing in air traffic control/safety-critical domain.
• You possess high analytical capacity, can understand end-user needs, and translate them into requirements for the development team.
• You have proven experience with test automation tools.
• Technical experience with tools/environments like Linux, Tcl/Tk, PHP is a plus.
• Knowledge of standards such as ED153/ED109 or ED12B/C is advantageous.
• You are organized, able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and use time effectively.
• You are rigorous, eager to work in a dynamic environment, and have a good team spirit.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
