Team Leader Tooling Manufacture

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Completing a relevant apprenticeship program is required (Red Seal Certification).
• Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence.

EXPERIENCE

• Five to ten years of proven experience as an artisan and five or more years of proven experience leading a team.

DUTIES

1. Manufacturing of components from raw materials.
2. Setting up and running CNC machines in a production environment.
3. Reading Manufacturing Drawings and obtaining drawings from the Supervisor or Manager.
4. Interpreting P&ID symbols from the drawings.
5. Executing all jobs according to the drawings provided on time and of excellent quality.
6. Assisting with Planning, Scheduling & Monitoring of Work.
7. Ensuring that all jobs are planned accurately and to specifications.
8. Ensuring that all jobs are scheduled timeously.
9. Ensuring that all mechanical equipment is in working order to perform the functions required.
10. Determining appropriate equipment or methods based on requirements.
11. Providing individual opinions on how to increase the quality of products being manufactured.
12. Inspecting manufactured components to ensure they meet the highest standard of quality.
13. Conducting testing on malfunctioning systems and determining the root cause of malfunctions.
14. Quality control of workmanship on completion of the job.
15. Testing and inspecting the mechanical systems after work completion.
16. Having a good understanding of the use of precision measuring equipment including Dial Test Indicator, Micrometer, Vernier, Inside and Outside Calipers, and Feeler Gauges.
17. Assisting with Administration Responsibilities.
18. Performing good housekeeping.
19. Adhering to Health and Safety protocols.
