Senior Consultant/Manager – Sports & Major Events Team

Our Sports & Major Events Team supports some of the world’s most prominent organisations – including the International Olympic Committee, and numerous federations and governing bodies, leagues, clubs, and event organisers.

We focus on delivering tangible outcomes across long-term growth strategy, business model design, commercial innovation, governance reform, digital transformation, and major event delivery. Our team applies deep industry expertise and rigorous analytical thinking to solve complex problems and create sustainable impact.

This opportunity is positioned to contribute meaningfully to the evolution of the sports industry through strategic consulting and execution.

How you can make an impact

  • Lead complex client engagements focused on governance, growth, transformation, innovation, commercial development, digital, and major event strategy.
  • Manage and coach junior team members to foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
  • Design and deliver robust strategic solutions, using both quantitative and qualitative methods, tailored to client needs.
  • Build trusted client relationships and actively contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and opportunity identification.
  • Play a key role in thought leadership, strengthening Deloitte’s reputation as a market leader in the business of sport.
Required Attributes
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in management consulting or strategic roles in sports, media, entertainment, or events industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle difficult challenges and structure complex problems, build actionable strategies using strategic thinking and frameworks, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven project management experience, including leading workstreams and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communications skills in English; German or French proficiency is an advantage.
  • Collaborative, proactive in nature, and enjoy working as a team to understand and explore complex challenges as well as collaborating and taking the initiative to deliver project objectives.
  • Deep interest in the Sports industry and a strong drive to contribute to its evolution.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working with or within international sports organisations (e.g. federations, leagues, National Olympic Committees, Local Organising Committees etc.)
  • Knowledge of key trends shaping the industry – digital transformation, fan engagement, women’s sport, sustainability, gaming/esports, etc.
