(Senior) Consultant - Financial Services Actuary

Your contribution to KPMG

1. Support financial and regulatory audits for insurance companies according to national and international standards (e.g., OR, IFRS, US GAAP).
2. Perform independent recalculations or assumption reviews of technical provisions during financial audits or as a responsible actuary.
3. Engage in hands-on actuarial consulting across Swiss Solvency Test (SST), Solvency II, capital modeling, model validation, and due diligence.
4. Address complex problems for insurance and reinsurance clients and support actuarial aspects of finance transformation programs.
5. Automate processes and develop solutions to analyze, evaluate, and visualize actuarial data using R, Python, or PowerBI.
6. Collaborate with accounting, tax, and finance professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
7. Build a professional network and engage with internal and external contacts.

What makes you successful

1. University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or physics.
2. Studying for or recently qualified as an actuary (SAV / DAV / FIA / CAS or equivalent).
3. Exceptional quantitative problem-solving skills and effective communication of complex ideas.
4. Entrepreneurial, independent, and outgoing personality that fosters collaboration.
5. 1-4 years of experience in non-life insurance actuarial roles.
6. Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R); experience with actuarial software is a plus.
7. Fluent in German and English; French is an asset.
