Senior Medical Director Clinical Development

We are looking for a Medical Director, Clinical Development to support a commercial-stage Swiss pharmaceutical company focusing on innovative medicines for rare diseases. The company is currently launching their first commercial product.

Reporting directly to the Head of Development, in collaboration with other great minds, you will take critical decisions and adapt quickly while developing clinical programs across multiple therapeutic areas. Foreseeing outcomes like a chess expert, you will use deep medical and clinical development knowledge to build future key pipeline opportunities and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive the development and execution of clinical development strategies.
2. Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure successful program delivery.
3. Lead the design, implementation, and management of clinical development plans.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize trial designs and study protocols.
5. Provide medical expertise and oversight throughout all stages of clinical development.
6. Analyze clinical trial data to generate insights.
7. Interface with regulatory agencies to support product development activities.
8. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external experts.
10. Proactively identify and mitigate clinical development risks.
11. Develop risk management strategies to ensure the successful execution of clinical programs.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent degree with a preference for a candidate with a background in immunology.
2. Significant experience in clinical development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
3. Proven track record of successful development and leadership of global clinical development programs.
4. Ability to effectively collaborate across global teams and diverse stakeholders.
5. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Strategic thinking with the ability to translate scientific insights into actionable clinical development strategies.
