Project Engineer Black Utilities

Job Responsibilities

1. Verification of ideas and requests, feasibility and conceptual studies for projects until internal approval for execution, in collaboration with internal and external team members (Electrical, Measurement and Controls Engineering, Civil Engineering, HVAC Engineering, 3D Planning and Field Engineering / Construction Management, Fire Protection, General Planners, and other Subject Matter Experts).
2. Plant design and execution of projects, coordinating with internal and external engineering partners until successful plant start-up.
3. Support and assist in 3D coordination, collision resolution, and adjustments.
4. Responsibility for commissioning and acceptance of systems, participation in integrated tests with the general designer/architect, internal engineering disciplines, piping contractors, etc., including collection, control, and handover of as-built technical documentation to the end user and handover of systems to the future owner and operator.
5. Perform additional tasks as required by the Global Engineering Team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant working or residency permit, or Swiss/EU citizenship required.
• BSc or MSc in Process or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in project engineering, planning, construction, or start-up of plants in the Chemical, Pharma, or Biopharma industry.
• Over 5 years of experience in CAPEX Engineering and/or Operations Engineering within the Chemical, Pharma, or Biopharma industry.
• Strong communication skills and sociability.
• Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary and complex environment.
• Well-structured thinking and precise working ability.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level).
