The Investment & Wealth Management Solutions (IWMS) division at Julius Baer is a key component of the bank's wealth management services and is responsible for providing investment advice, financial planning, and wealth management solutions to Julius Baer's sophisticated private clients. In anticipation of the transformational impact of Artificial intelligence and Digital Assets on the future of Wealth Management we are recruiting a senior candidate as an Expert Project Manager to define the roadmap from a business perspective, to take ownership of specific AI solutions and to drive adoption among the intended audience. The IWMS Strategic Projects team is the established competence centre for Digital Assets at Julius Baer and tasked with the leadership for the Bank’s internal generative Artificial Intelligence programme.

YOUR CHALLENGE

1. Define Roadmap: Develop a business-focused roadmap outlining the sequence of AI/Digital Asset initiatives, timelines, and resources required, identifying and prioritizing key use cases where AI/Digital Assets can bring significant value to the bank's wealth management operations and services.

2. Own Solutions: Lead the development and implementation of specific AI/Digital Asset solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements, are scalable, and comply with regulatory standards, while collaborating with Business Owners, IT/Operations, Markets, Risk & Compliance and vendors to integrate solutions into existing systems.

3. Drive Adoption: Develop a change management plan, educate stakeholders on AI/Digital Asset capabilities and benefits, communicate the value of solutions to stakeholders, and establish metrics to measure adoption rates, user satisfaction, and ROI, to ensure successful adoption of solutions across the organization.

YOUR PROFILE

1. University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science).

2. Advanced degrees in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a relevant business field are highly desirable.

3. Proven experience in leading strategic initiatives in Private Banking or Wealth Management, with a focus on High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI).

4. Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and Digital Assets/Crypto.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.

6. Strong business acumen and knowledge about Private Banking and HNWI needs.

7. Strong strategy and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

8. Experience with agile methodologies and ability to drive transformation of business processes through adoption of AI or Digital Assets.

9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and business stakeholders.

10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

11. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards as applicable to wealth managers and emerging for AI/Digital Assets.

12. Preferred: Management consulting experience and/or key roles in Private Banking.

13. At least 5 years of experience in managing projects in a Private Banking context, with some exposure to AI initiatives or Digital Assets.

14. Strong network of contacts within the Private Banking, AI and Crypto communities, with the ability to stay up-to-date with latest trends and innovations.

15. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability.

16. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders and business stakeholders.
