Adobe AEM Solutions Architect

This position is available in Madrid, Berlin, or Basel. Our hybrid work policy allows for up to 2 days per week of remote work.

As the Adobe AEM Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in transforming Straumann Group’s digital platforms. You will design and implement robust, scalable solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), with a strong focus on leading our transition from on-premise AEM environments to Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS). In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital experiences, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance across our global web ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

AEM Architecture & Cloud Migration

• Design and document scalable, secure AEM solutions aligned with business goals.
  
• Lead the migration from traditional AEM to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), including planning, execution, and optimization.
  
• Develop technical specifications, architectural documentation, and integration patterns for AEM and connected systems.
  Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  
• Mentor development teams and promote architectural best practices.
  
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize platform performance.
  
• Work closely with stakeholders from marketing, UX, IT, and business to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  Integration & Compliance
  
• Integrate AEM with enterprise platforms (E-shop, CRM, ERP, analytics, personalization tools, AI tools).
  
• Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and Straumann’s security standards.
  
• Define and enforce development standards and governance processes.
  Continuous Improvement
  
• Monitor system health, conduct audits, and implement best practices for high availability and disaster recovery.
  
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the AEM and AEMaaCS ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• AEM development experience.
• Extensive experience architecting and implementing Adobe AEM in large-scale, multilingual, multi-brand environments.
• Proven track record leading migrations from on-premise/managed AEM to AEMaaCS.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, CDN, Search and cloud-native architectures is a plus.
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products (Analytics, Target, Campaign) and third-party integrations (GA, GTM, Kameleoon) is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Awareness of global data privacy regulations and best practices for ethical data usage.
