Role Overview
Join our interdisciplinary team to design, develop, validate, and support cutting-edge diagnostic instrumentation. You’ll work in close collaboration with systems, software, mechanical, and quality teams to deliver robust, compliant hardware solutions in the pharma-diagnostics space.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and specify electrical/electronic components and systems for in-vitro diagnostic (PCR) instruments .
• Develop hardware requirements, risk analyses, and perform design verifications/validations in a heavily regulated environment.
• Support prototyping, manufacturing transfers, and product lifecycle support.
• Actively engage in cross-functional meetings with R&D, QA/Regulatory, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across disciplines, ensuring alignment on technical objectives and timelines.
• Coordinate and document technical decisions, testing reports, and compliance evidence.
Required Qualifications
• University degree (BSc or MSc) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
• 5–10+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, preferably within pharma, medical devices, or diagnostics.
• Strong skills in circuit design, PCB development, sensors, I/Os, and power electronics.
• Experience with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601, FDA).
• Excellent English communication; German is a strong advantage.
