Electrical Project Manager - Switzerland, Zurich - 12 Months Contract

Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and requires the expertise of an Electrical Project Manager. They have established partnerships with many well-known technology powerhouses and tailor their development to their clients' requirements.

Responsibilities

• Managing Power Distribution Systems – Overseeing the design, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, ensuring seamless power delivery to critical IT loads.
• Coordinating UPS & Backup Power – Ensuring Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, and battery backups function efficiently to maintain uptime and redundancy.
• Ensuring Compliance & Safety – Adhering to electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations, including IEEE, NEC, and ISO requirements, to minimise risks and hazards.
• Budgeting & Procurement – Managing electrical equipment procurement, contractor negotiations, and budget allocation to optimise cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
• Overseeing Testing & Commissioning – Conducting system validation, load testing, and troubleshooting electrical faults to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
