How you’ll make an impact

• You are creative: Conduct high-quality industrial researchin the area ofartificial intelligence for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields

• You are visionary:Develop innovative approaches to design and run the power grid, turn them into prototypes, and increase the technology readiness level towards productization

• You take initiative:Collaborate with a global and inter-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real-world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements

• You collaborate:Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universitiesand vendors

• You communicate:Disseminateyour results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications

Your background

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,Physics, or a related field

• Proven expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a solid understanding of algorithms, frameworks, and extensive experience in Python and relevant software tools

• Strong ability and keen interestin applying AI/MLto real-world industrial applications, addressingvarious aspects of power grids and sustainable energy, from systems to individual components

• Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
