Are you an expert in mechatronic design? Would you like to work at the forefront of development for cutting-edge equipment within the nanotechnology space?

As a System Design Engineer, you will contribute to developing and improving high-precision instrumentation used in nanotechnology research and the semiconductor industry. The role will involve designing, building and testing mechatronic systems that integrate mechanics, electronics and software.

Day to day responsibilities

  1. Design and develop mechatronic systems for high-precision AFM devices
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, software)
  3. Troubleshoot and optimise system performance
  4. Create technical documentation
  5. Assist in product lifecycle management, from concept to production
  6. Evaluate new technologies and implement them into product designs

Experience | Qualifications

  1. Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  2. Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic systems integration
  3. Hands-on experience in designing and troubleshooting mechatronic systems
  4. Experience with CAD and electrical circuit design tools
  5. Strong communication and documentation skills
  6. Familiarity with programming languages is a plus
