Principal Engineer – Digital Workplace

Our Partner is searching for a Principal Engineer – Digital Workplace to take ownership of strategy, standards, processes, and engineering within the client and cloud workplace domain. You will play a key role in driving innovation, supporting pilot projects, and ensuring cost-effective, secure, and modern workplace solutions. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategy, standards, and processes for client/cloud workplace services.
• Lead and support technology initiatives, proof of concepts (POCs), and pilot projects to evaluate new solutions.
• Ensure the adoption of modern, scalable, and cost-effective technologies in workplace services.
• Act as a technical expert and advisor, collaborating with teams to design and optimize workplace infrastructure.
• Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Drive automation and optimization of workplace services, improving user experience and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.

Your Background

• Technical Expertise: Strong experience in IT Infrastructure, cloud, and workplace services.
• Deep knowledge of client/cloud workplace technologies.
• Experience in Citrix environments and related solutions.
• Familiarity with Cisco UCS Director.
• Knowledge of Virtual Desktop (VDI) and M365 components.
• Azure cloud knowledge is a plus.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable workplace solutions.

• Language: German proficiency at B1/B2 level is required, with a willingness to improve.
