The Relationship Officer is responsible for the management and closing stages of a client lifecycle (closing accounts) while delivering high quality client service.

What you will do:
- Manage in a timely and efficient way the account closing process
- Provide support to the managing of affiliate accounts (account of other Group entities)
- Deliver high-level professional client experience to both internal (stakeholders) and external clients
- In all activities, comply with internal and external guidelines and regulations and the law
In this role you will:
- Maintain the highest standard of excellence in client service by attending to client enquiries and requests
- Explain operational matters to clients. Develop clients’ awareness, understanding and ability to comply with our operational requirements.
- Prompt and appropriate action taken to address client feedback/complaints.
- Ensure that all client-service related activities are fully in compliance with the processes and procedures contained in it.
- Closing accounts despite increasing number of constraints (e.g. multiple blockages)
- Processing account closure in a timely manner, while always being in full compliance with HSBC Global Standards and account closing principles
- Managing the daily activities of the active Affiliate accounts
- Achieving productive conversations with clients
- Proactively flag and discuss any issues hindering work progress and accounts closure
Requirements:
- Proven and progressive private banking experience or equivalent
- Proven customer service, communications, sales, analytical, organizational, and planning skills
- Good understanding of the major products/services available in the private banking industry
- IT Skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications – knowledge of Avaloq would be an asset
- Ability to work in stressful situations
- A very good team player with drive for success and achievement
- Fluent in English and French; other languages would be an asset
