I’m currently representing a fast-growing U.S.-based Point-of-Care (PoC) diagnostics company that has recently established its European headquarters in Switzerland. They are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead and execute their expansion across the European market.

About Them:

This company is developing a next-generation Point-of-Care diagnostic platform that delivers lab-quality results in minutes, enabling faster clinical decisions in decentralized care environments from clinics and pharmacies to emergency and rural settings.

Their proprietary platform supports detection of a diverse range of high-impact health conditions, including:

  • Rapid differentiation between bacterial and viral respiratory infections
  • Early identification of autoimmune flare-ups (e.g., lupus, rheumatoid arthritis)
  • Real-time hormonal assessments (adrenal, thyroid, etc.)
  • Bedside sepsis risk scoring using inflammatory markers
  • Portable toxicology testing for acute and rural care scenarios

Their mission is to democratize access to advanced diagnostics, placing critical insights in the hands of healthcare providers wherever care is delivered.

The Role:

As General Manager – Europe, you will be responsible for building and leading the company’s European operations. This includes owning market strategy, commercial partnerships, team development, and operational execution across multiple countries.

  • Lead strategic market entry and expansion across priority European geographies
  • Establish and manage key partnerships with health systems, regulators, and distribution networks
  • Oversee regulatory readiness and ensure alignment with local market access requirements
  • Build and scale local teams, operations, and customer success infrastructure
  • Serve as the senior regional representative at events, investor meetings, and industry engagements
  • Report directly to the global executive team and collaborate cross-functionally with U.S. and Swiss HQ
  • Travel extensively within Europe (up to 60%) to support local market growth
  • 7+ years in leadership roles within diagnostics, medtech, or healthtech sectors
  • Proven experience launching and scaling businesses or platforms within the European Point-of-Care diagnostics market
  • Strong network within healthcare, distribution, and/or regulatory circles in Europe
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage teams in international, fast-paced environments
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong plus
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Switzerland
