Manager Quality Management

JOB SUMMARY

MOBYFLY designs and industrializes 100% electric, high-performance hydrofoils. We are hiring a Quality Manager to lead and structure all aspects of quality: Product, Project, Supplier, and Quality System.

This key role contributes to our strong ESG / CSR commitments, with a focus on environmental, regulatory, and societal impact. It is designed to evolve toward a future team leadership position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Quality – In close cooperation with Production

• Ensure compliance of systems (propulsion, batteries, interfaces, structure) with all requirements.

• Lead product validation through project gates (specifications to delivery).

• Identify CTQs and track key functional requirements.

• Perform failure analysis and corrective actions.

• References: ISO 9001, ISO 26262, Bureau Veritas NR467 / NR216.

Project Quality – Cross-functional leadership

• Develop and monitor the project quality plan (ISO 10005).

• Drive quality gates (needs, design, qualification, delivery).

• Structure risk management (ISO 31000) and lessons learned.

Supplier Quality – Supporting Procurement

• Support qualification of critical suppliers (audits, testing, compliance).

• Define purchasing quality requirements and inspection plans.

• Monitor non-conformities and performance (PPM, OTD).

• Standards: REACH, RoHS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.

Quality System – Structuring & ESG/CSR

• Deploy a robust QMS (ISO 9001:2015).

• Lead internal audits, documentation, management reviews.

• Contribute to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 integration.

• Drive ESG/CSR implementation: traceability, durable compliance.

• Provide quality reports, strategic plans, and action plans to the executive management.

PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS - Education & Experience

• Engineer (mechanical, naval, energy or equivalent), 5–10 years of experience.

• Solid command of quality standards, 8D tools, Pareto, root cause methods.

• Leadership, rigor, team spirit, mentoring skills.

• Languages: Fluency in English and French; Portuguese is a plus

* Based in Switzerland with regular travel to MobyFly Portugal and industrial partner sites

* Active participation in design reviews, trials, and production readiness assessments

* Works closely with the COO, CTO, Production Manager, Project Manager, and subsystem leads

* Acts as the central interface for system coordination with internal teams and suppliers

* Key and evolving role toward quality coordination and team building within a multidisciplinary environment.
