HERMES is ARIS’s first-ever bi-liquid rocketry project, aiming to design, build, and launch a cutting-edge launch vehicle in October 2025. This ambitious endeavor is supported by the development of a fully student-researched-and-developed (SRAD) EthaLOx engine and advanced engineering systems. The project is driven by innovation, teamwork, and the goal of competing in Europe’s premier rocketry competition, EuRoC.

The HERMES Business Team

The HERMES Business Team is essential to the success of HERMES, supporting the project through strategic outreach, sponsor acquisition, logistics, and communications. This dynamic team bridges the gap between HERMES and the world, ensuring our vision is shared, supported, and celebrated by stakeholders, sponsors, and the public.

The Position – Head of Logistics

As the Head of Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of HERMES. From organizing key events to planning the logistics of delivering the rocket and team to EuRoC 2025, you’ll collaborate closely with HERMES Management to oversee critical organizational tasks.

Your Responsibilities:

• Organizing the logistics for HERMES technical reviews, such as the upcoming Critical Design Review (CDR), Flight Readiness Review and HERMES Reveal, ensuring smooth scheduling and coordination with stakeholders.
• Coordinating public events and team-building sessions with ARIS coaches to foster collaboration and camaraderie.
• Managing logistics for HERMES’s participation in EuRoC 2025, including:
  • Delivering the rocket and associated equipment to the Santa Margarida Military Camp in Portugal.
  • Planning and managing transportation arrangements for team members.
• Collaborating with HERMES Management to streamline internal and external operations.

• A proactive attitude and adaptability to changing circumstances.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Time commitment: 10-15 hours per week.
