We are working with a rapidly growing real estate investment platform providing turnkey real estate equity and debt investment opportunities to various category of investors.

For their Geneva office they are currently looking for a Financial Controller/Team leader to lead the finance function, reportingdirectly to the CEO. This leadership role oversees the finance department and plays a central part in enhancing the financial visibility and performance of the organization. You will be responsible for financial management and reporting across the group and its multiple special purpose vehicles (SPVs) involved in real estate transactions. This role is crucial for shaping financial strategy, establishing control processes, and monitoring performance. You will oversee the accounting team and ensure the integrity of financial information to support internal decision-making, regulatory compliance, and reporting to the board and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and closing activities for multiple SPVs in compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial reporting across all entities.
  • Supervise internal accounting operations including bookkeeping, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual accounts and manage fiscal compliance (tax declarations, VAT, etc.).
  • Lead coordination with external auditors and facilitate audit processes.
  • Build and maintain financial reporting systems to track performance by project and business unit.
  • Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights.
  • Manage group and SPV liquidity, optimizing cash flow and investor distributions.
  • Prepare financial materials for executive and shareholder meetings.
  • Maintain ownership records and capitalization tables with discretion.
  • Partner with senior leadership to assess investment structures and performance drivers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in finance or accounting from a recognized institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in controlling, business finance, or senior accounting.
  • Experience in real estate, financial services, or banking is a plus.
  • Certified accountant (equivalent to Swiss HES/HEG, Brevet Fédéral, or similar).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate compliance.
  • Fluency in French and English required.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-driven and quick to learn.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational ability.
  • Experience in multi-entity environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
