The Regional Strategy Manager, working closely with the Regional Sales Directors, is responsible for contributing to business strategies and operations through political analysis. This role supports executive decision-making to ensure the company maintains its competitive edge in global and regional markets. It requires a combination of academic knowledge, experience in international relations, and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understanding and communicating relevant developments:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of global geopolitical trends, including stability, conflicts, and alliances.
  • Analyze regional political and economic dynamics and their impact on operations.
  • Stay informed about politics, policies, and major developments in countries of interest.
  • Understand local dynamics and key actors affecting SICPA’s operations.
  • Effectively communicate findings to support decision-making.
  • Integrate economics and technology:
    • Analyze global economic trends and their impact on company strategies.
    • Assess global technological trends and their implications for geopolitics and business models.
    • Communicate insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Assess and manage crises:
    • Identify geopolitical risks affecting operations, reputation, finance, security, and market access.
    • Incorporate geopolitical perspectives into strategic planning.
    • Coordinate responses to geopolitical crises to mitigate damages and ensure continuity.
    • Identify opportunities arising from geopolitical changes.
  • Geopolitical monitoring and foresight:
    • Regularly report on geopolitical developments.
    • Anticipate events impacting SICPA’s operations.
    • Utilize data analytics, data science, and AI tools for analysis.
    • Manage relations with security services and monitor leadership changes.
  • Compliance and risk management:
    • Identify operational risks.
    • Incorporate ESG factors into analysis and recommendations.

    Profile

    • Advanced degree in international relations, political science, economics, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in political analysis, risk management, and strategic planning.
    • International experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of data science tools.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Fluency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
    • Cultural adaptability and experience working in diverse international environments.
    • Crisis management expertise.
    • Strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
