About our client

Our client, a leading alternatives investment advisor, is currently looking to hire a Funds focused Legal Counsel into their Zurich team. The firm, which provides investment solutions for multiple private markets investment institutions globally, has recently expanded their European presence and is therefore looking to increase legal support within the region.

What the job involves

As the Fund's focused Legal Counsel, you will support the firm's offices globally, with a particular focus on fund formation and structuring. This is a new hire for the Zurich team and therefore will allow plenty of autonomy and room for development. The role will allow some great commercial exposure, reporting directly into the firm's Global General Counsel whilst working closely with multiple internal front office teams and external providers.

• Advise on the structuring, formation, and operation of private market investment funds
• Provide legal guidance on Swiss and Lux regulations
• Draft, review, and negotiate key fund documentation
• Advise on fundraising, investor negotiations and distribution strategies
• Project management and outside Counsel engagement
• Ad-hoc internal legal work

Who we are looking for

• Qualified Lawyer with a Swiss Bar admission
• Experience in private markets fund formation and structuring
• Experience gained in big law. Additional in-house experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Lux based fund regulation is essential
• Comfortable working as part of a small team
