Senior Manager Business Development

Zurich, Switzerland

Fixed-Term Contract - 6-9 months

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Business Development to join a global food and beverage services company with offices across Europe, including Zurich. Prior experience of Sales or Business Development within the Food & Beverage industry is required for this role.

This is fixed-term contract (FTC), so would require candidates to either be immediately available or with a short notice period (ideally maximum one month).

This is a key commercial role focused on managing the performance, margin, and future development of the European core product range, while building strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities as Senior Manager Business Development include:

  • Lead commercial performance of the core food, beverage, and consumables range across Europe
  • Align product offerings with customer expectations through collaboration with Culinary and Procurement teams
  • Support concept development and customer presentations with product storytelling and market insights
  • Drive supplier onboarding, performance reviews, and process compliance for new and existing products
  • Oversee product catalogue maintenance, pricing, and forecast accuracy in partnership with Supply Chain
  • Deliver against financial targets and range benefits, managing budget and performance KPIs

The ideal candidate profile:

  • Degree in Business or Supply Chain; Procurement qualifications (e.g. CPIS) preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in a Sales or Commercial Business Development-related role
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities; analytical and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience in commercial negotiations
  • Previous experience in food and beverage industry is a must
