Description

The purpose of this position is to manage Quality IT, Process, and Data Systems by providing global application support to achieve the quality and compliance goals of ANHnewco. The role involves developing and maintaining efficient Quality Management Systems focusing on continuous improvement, internal control, and operational excellence. The aim is to maximize the return from Quality IT solutions through support and ongoing improvements that ensure product compliance. Responsibilities include supporting and maintaining quality data systems organization-wide, liaising with key users to understand their requirements, and supporting IT systems at global sites to ensure alignment and a unified way of working. The Lead Specialist acts as a bridge between Business Key Users and IT.

Position context

This role reports to the Quality IT Systems Department. The systems involved include Laboratory Information Management Systems (LabWare), Chromatography Data System (e.g., Chromeleon), analytical instrument control systems (e.g., TIAMO, LAB-X), compliance and document management systems (e.g., TrackWise, EDM), and reporting tools (Power BI, MS Project/Planner, Jira/Confluence). The position requires interaction with global quality departments across Animal Nutrition, Human Nutrition, and manufacturing sites, as well as the IT department. The Lead Specialist plays a key role in gathering, analyzing, and compiling quality data for official company reports used in decision-making and continuous improvement, involving frequent interaction with production sites.

Key responsibilities

  1. Support the technical realization of Quality/IT projects at designated sites, focusing on lab-based applications, including analysis, development, and implementation of system improvements.
  2. Manage day-to-day system support, including Master Data Management.
  3. Ensure application management complies with CSV guidelines and directives.
  4. Understand and translate user requirements and project goals for all stakeholders.
  5. Provide business support and act as liaison between business and global IT departments.
  6. Collaborate with site Key Users and Application Owners to resolve incidents, manage support levels, and escalate issues when necessary.
  7. Implement software according to design specifications, including testing and validation.
  8. Create SOPs, policies, templates, assessments, and other documentation as needed.
  9. Support business units with expertise in quality and laboratory systems and processes.
  10. Perform system updates to leverage system benefits.
  11. Prepare monthly reports.
  12. Support activities related to the Ornellaia project.

Complexity

The role requires a business background with international exposure, broad knowledge of Quality IT Systems, and technical expertise in supported systems. The candidate should understand quality and compliance requirements, including Computer System Validation (CSV), and be capable of analyzing global key performance indicators for continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential.

Knowledge and educational requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field, or 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality IT solutions and CSV principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all organizational levels and external vendors.
  • Flexibility, reliability, responsibility, and proactive attitude.
  • Experience with SAP, TrackWise, Documentum, and training others in IT systems is preferred.

Experience required

Minimum of 3 years in a related field, with experience in problem-solving and decision-making for quality systems such as LIMS, Chromeleon, TrackWise, and Documentum. Proficiency in business software for reporting and data management.
