Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Proactively process DB change requests according to the Kanban board (e.g., scripting, documentation).
- Analyze SQL query performance to optimize access in collaboration with development teams.
- Configure and monitor DB replication streams.
- Plan and execute all DB migrations from development to production environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation and script libraries (TACL - Tandem Advanced Command Language).
- Proactively monitor application queues at the server level.
- Responsible for dimensioning the front-office application (number of instances, parallel operation).
- Ensure tables and disks do not overflow; define measures in collaboration with system specialists.
- Participate in planning hardware capacity expansions.
- Support the release manager, including creating rough schedules.
- Optimize the database deployment process.
- Maintain the MySQL database regarding changes and evaluations.
- Make configuration adjustments and evaluate config files to initiate necessary measures before go-live.
Who Are We Looking For

- At least 3 years of experience with relational database systems (SQL, Access).
- Experience in performance analysis of database queries and access optimization.
- Support development teams in database design and access optimization, including scripting for database porting (DEV to production).
- Manage and extend script libraries using technologies such as DOS, BASH, Visual Basic.
- Knowledge of Java, C, Visual Basic is optional.
- Experience with Jenkins, GIT, and HPNS platform is advantageous.
- Collaborate on capacity planning for platforms and applications.
- Proficiency in German and/or French; business fluent English skills are required.
- Flexible working arrangements within Switzerland, including mobile working and flexible hours.
