The Biomedical Image Computing Group (BMIC) at ETH Zurich is seeking applications for a two-year postdoctoral researcher position focused on the enhancement of endoscopic video data.
Introduction
This project addresses the significant challenges associated with endoscopic video enhancement, a crucial component in various clinical interventions. The primary objective is to develop advanced algorithms that improve the clarity and quality of endoscopic imaging, with an emphasis on real-time applications and computational efficiency. The research will be conducted in collaboration with an industrial partner, providing a unique opportunity for hardware and software integration.
Requirements
– A PhD in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field
– Demonstrated experience in the analysis of endoscopic video data
– Expertise in image and/or video enhancement algorithms
– Strong interest in developing real-time, low-latency computational methods
– At least two first-author publications in leading venues (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, Medical Image Analysis, MICCAI, IPMI, CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML)
– Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English
