Role Overview: The Global Head of Operational Excellence and Transformation plays a pivotal role by driving strategic transformation initiatives and special projects that enhance operational efficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all IMI Climate Control operation locations. This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in Project execution, Change management, Process optimisation and Performance excellence within our industry. This role reports directly to the IMI Climate Control Director of Operations and is part of the Operations Key Leadership Team.

Work Environment: This is a hybrid role based in Eysins, Switzerland and with a requirement to travel frequently based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global operational transformation strategies, ensuring alignment with IMI Climate Control’s long-term vision
  • Oversee large-scale process improvements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance system reliability and sustainabilityEstablish clear KPIs, track performance improvements, and ensure data-driven decision-making supports business growth
  • Lead and project manage the large or special projects within the global IMI Climate Control Operations organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time and budget
  • Produce clear and concise project scopes, specifications and standards to ensure deliverables are specific, quantifiable and deliverable
  • Produce regular reports on the progress of the projects throughout their lifecycle from initiation to sign-off
  • Instil and encourage a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration to support leadership and culture building within the organisation
  • Engage and collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, operations leaders and external partners to deliver impactful transformation projects

Critical Competencies For Success

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with extensive experience in operational excellence and business transformation within the Manufacturing industry or technical sector
  • Expertise in Project Management, Process Mapping, Value-stream analysis, Continuous Improvement, Agile methodologies and process optimisation strategies
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of implementing enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
  • Proficiency in change management, digitalisation, and industry-specific automation technologies
  • Ability to drive high-impact, global initiatives that shape the future of operational performance
  • Good presentation skills – both in generation of clear progress-to-plan reports as well as presenting in person
  • Proven track record of change leadership with an emphasis on delivering results and improved performance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cultural awareness
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Any other European language would be an advantage
