Job Description :

Lead and manage the Onboarding & Periodic Reviews team (approx. 15+ people) within the legal entity EFG Bank AG, spread over Zürich, Geneva, and Lugano. Oversee all KYC / AML processes and procedures to ensure proper risk management and adherence to internal frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee Onboarding & Periodic Reviews activities.
  • Manage the team across three locations, define priorities, set goals, and lead staff.
  • Support and guide the team and front office.
  • Escalate sensitive or urgent issues to the Head of Financial Crime or her deputy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the First Line of Defense (FLoD), other stakeholders, and foreign Compliance units.
  • Prepare, participate in, and follow up on internal and external audits.
  • Develop management reports, statistics, and KPIs for internal use and Group Compliance.
  • Provide training and workshops to compliance and front office teams.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the bank and propose strategies accordingly.
  • Promote compliance awareness and develop a risk-aware culture within the bank.
  • Maintain and improve onboarding and review processes, systems, and tools by participating in projects, reviewing guidelines, and supporting new tool development.

Professional Skills

  • Over 8 years of compliance experience, with strong knowledge in client onboarding, financial crime, and transaction monitoring.
  • Advanced compliance certifications are a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of Private Banking, Wealth Management, and Asset Management.
  • Good grasp of commercial challenges.
  • Solution-oriented and pragmatic approach.
  • Flexible and resourceful.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, and proficient in French, German, Swiss German, or Italian.
