Overview

Empower the future by working in a hybrid role as Site Safety Officer and R&D Lab Engineer in Semiconductor Packaging.

We seek an experienced R&D Lab Engineer with a strong safety culture and expertise in laboratory environments, preferably in semiconductor packaging. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for research activities and developing and optimizing assembly processes, performing power module characterization, and preparing CAD drawings. This role combines safety and laboratory responsibilities, ideal for a research-oriented individual.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Role

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards and regulations
• Establish and support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations
• Promote a positive HSE culture within the organization
• Plan and budget for HSE activities and measures

Lab Engineer Role

• Assemble and develop high-performance semiconductor modules, test substrates, and processes with high precision, including soldering, sintering, wire bonding, and encapsulation
• Procure components and materials within logistics frameworks
• Manage process lines and evaluate new equipment
• Communicate with scientists and internal teams, document processes, parameters, and module characterizations

Candidate Profile

• Technical education or degree in physics, mechanics, electrical engineering, or similar
• Experience in cleanroom environments and semiconductor assembly preferred
• Proficiency in process development, process optimization, and CAD software
• Experience in occupational safety is a plus
• Independent, open-minded, communicative, with a passion for technical challenges
• Practical laboratory experience and experimental techniques knowledge
• Work experience in industrial R&D labs is advantageous
• Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
