Shift Leader (f/m/d)

In order to support our continued growth, Lonza is seeking a Shift Leader to join our team in Visp, Switzerland.

Key responsibilities:

1. Leading, assessing, coaching and developing employees
2. Embodying our Culture of Safety, Quality, personal development and constant learning and improvement
3. Setting priorities and prioritising resources to meet deadlines
4. Participation in the investigation of deviations and improvement projects
5. Guarantee of security, GMP compliance etc.
6. Creation and timely implementation of training plans
7. Recognize, interpret and correct deviations
8. Comparison of cross-company process steps (relationships, dependencies, processes)
9. Administrative tasks such as managing shift handovers, inspections and creating instructions

Key requirements:

1. Several years of professional experience as a shift leader, deputy or system specialist in pharmaceutical, chemical or biotech production
2. Ideal candidates will have a chemical/biopharmaceutical education (CPT) or equivalent training, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering, or related fields. Relevant experience will also be taken into account.
3. Structured, focused and organized way of working, assertive and motivated, working independently, flexible and resilient
4. High attitude for Safety, Quality, Solution focus and Collaboration
5. Comprehensive knowledge of production processes and interrelationships in a large production area with detailed knowledge of all process steps and systems
6. Fluency in English (written and oral), German would be an advantage
7. Commitment to work in shift (4-shift system)
