Job Description:
Your responsibilities:
Conduct detailed underwriting analysis of Energy accounts, reviewing risk engineering exposures, terms and conditions, pricing, and capacity deployment.
Determine exposures, normal loss expectancies, and maximum possible loss scenarios.
Evaluate and control accumulations, including Natural Catastrophe Exposures.
Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients, focusing on long-term sustainability and profitability.
Ensure compliance with Helvetia Group directives.
Develop extensive knowledge of the Energy client and broker network.
Attend national and international client and broker meetings, site inspections, and industry events as appropriate.
Contribute to a motivated, agile, and determined team.
Collaborate with the claims department for large and complex claims.
Qualifications:
University degree, preferably in engineering, science-related, or business-related discipline; a commercial qualification (e.g., MBA) is beneficial.
Professional experience in Energy underwriting or the Energy industry.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and sales skills.
Good business acumen and understanding of the Energy insurance markets.
Passion for tackling challenges and high performance standards.
Ability to develop partnerships across departments and work towards common goals.
Positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is highly preferred.
