Welcome to Guidehouse’s Europe and Middle East (EME) public sector (PS) team within our global Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure segment (ES&I). With more than 700 consultants, ES&I is the largest energy and sustainability consulting team worldwide. We collaborate with utilities, energy companies, large corporations, product manufacturers, and investors to help them thrive in a rapidly changing energy environment. Our PS team focuses on governments like the European Commission and the German government, managing high-level projects that support making society climate neutral as soon as possible. Working for diverse clients enables us to influence policymaking.

What You Will Do :

  1. Work on projects to accelerate the green energy transition nationally and globally, addressing smart grids, renewable integration, industry decarbonization, and hydrogen development.
  2. Contribute to project success by leading work streams, providing fact-based recommendations, managing stakeholders, and supporting large-scale program management.
  3. Ensure the successful delivery of analyses, roundtables, workshops, and other activities involving private sector, grid operators, and policymakers.
  4. Build relationships within Guidehouse and with clients, maintaining our values of respect, integrity, innovation, stewardship, and excellence, while fostering an inclusive and diverse culture.

What You Will Need :

  1. Ideally 5-7 years of relevant experience, such as with grid operators, utilities, or consultancies.
  2. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across levels.
  3. Passion for sustainability, innovation, and energy transition, with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and proactively, managing multiple projects and understanding client expectations.
  5. Experience leading tasks within projects.
  6. Solid understanding of renewable grid integration, smart grids, and related applications.
  7. Comfort in communicating and presenting project results internally and externally.
  8. Master’s degree or equivalent in energy, environmental, electrical, mechanical engineering, energy policy, economics, or social sciences with a focus on energy.
  9. Knowledge of power systems and market trends is an asset.
  10. Fluent English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., German, French, Arabic, Turkish) is a plus.
  11. Willingness to travel and interest in international work, especially in the MENA region.
