Role Description

This is a full-time remote or hybrid role for a Data Scientist at K2G based in Baar. The Data Scientist will be responsible for data science, statistics, data analytics, data visualization, and data analysis tasks. While the role is primarily located in Baar, some work from home is acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expertise with insurance data (insurtech or fintech)
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify patterns and trend
• Develop and implement statistical models to calculate risk for the car insurance industry
• Work closely with other team members to improve the accuracy and performance of our products
• Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master Degree or PhD in a hard science (Physics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Strong experience with statistical modelling and data analysis
• Strong mathematical background
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and Matlab
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in the car insurance industry is a plus
• Experience working with AI supported development such as ChatGPT and/or Gemini is a plus
