As a Finance Business Partner, you will develop an in-depth understanding of the business area/client group supported, along with its results and the key levers that influence P&L performance for that area/group.

You will understand the drivers of historic, current, and forecast performance for the client group/business area and provide monthly financial analysis, insight, and explanation of performance, highlighting emerging issues or trends and making recommendations on corrective actions.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Interpreting, explaining, and driving performance within the business.
2. Supporting and influencing key operational and strategic decisions by providing insight and challenge.
3. Translating operational targets into executable in-year plans.
4. Partnering with the client group to drive actions to meet targets (pricing, promo ROI, sales, margin, variable costs, overheads, EBITDA, working capital, ROI, etc.).
5. Advising on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities.
6. Reviewing actual performance with a view to making recommendations and provoking interventions required to drive down costs, improve margins, and convert P&L into cash.
7. Owning and driving initiatives focused on closing variances with the business.
8. Ensuring the business understands and delivers against KPIs.
9. Facilitating ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues at a strategic level.
10. Supporting strategy development by providing financial performance insights and recommendations to the client group, identifying potential opportunities and/or risks through scenario and sensitivity analysis.
11. Evaluating investment options from a financial perspective to provide a long-term view of the impact on key KPIs for the client group/business area.
12. Supporting the management of the capex budgeting process, accurately forecasting capital spending and depreciation for the development of budgets and long-term plans for capital commitments.
13. Identifying and providing financial implications for all projects/business initiatives, contributing to business cases and ensuring the most profitable allocation of resources through financial insights and constructive challenge.
14. Leveraging analyses provided by FP&A to drive business choices, overlaying commercial acumen and insight.
15. Providing insight into the competitor landscape to business and FP&A teams.
16. Working with the management team to define planning assumptions, risks, and investment opportunities, ensuring this is fed into a high-quality and credible IBP.
17. Providing support and challenge to ensure the quality of data, working closely with other functions to improve accuracy and timeliness.
18. Regularly attending meetings with customers, key suppliers, external partners, and working closely with other functions to formulate action plans which address performance gaps.
19. Recognizing the importance of business and financial controls and working closely with the management team to install accountability & culture.
20. Providing expert opinion on key accounting judgments to help ensure the integrity of financial statements.
21. Reviewing the CSR and other management reports produced by the SSC, providing additional insights on performance and risk management.

• You have 5 years+ post qualification experience in an accounting or financial managerial position.
• You have a University degree or equivalent.
• You have an Accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) in those countries where applicable.
• You gained your first experience in FMCG.
• You are a Swiss citizen or holder of a valid required work permit in Switzerland.
• You have Business and financial analysis experience.
• You have Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
• You have excellent communication and written skills with the ability to engage people at all levels both internally and externally.
• You have the ability to influence business and finance colleagues and think long term, bringing multiple stakeholders and conflicting viewpoints to an objective resolution.
• You possess impactful report writing and presentation skills.
