Job Description

We are seeking a Data Architect to join our Zurich team. You will design and implement scalable data architectures supporting our real estate data services, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity. Collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts will be essential to centralize data, improve documentation, and integrate diverse data types, including spatial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models for real estate data, including transactions, financial, and geospatial data.
• Shape the company's data strategy and plan a scalable cloud migration.
• Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases, focusing on optimization techniques.
• Optimize ETL processes using Apache Airflow and dbt for efficient data transformation.
• Support data provisioning and visualization through tools like Jira, Salesforce, Abacus, and Apache Superset dashboards.
• Implement data governance best practices, including documentation, lineage, and metadata management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data architecture or engineering, preferably in real estate. Proven experience with large-scale solutions.
• Technical skills:
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and database optimization.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions and architecture.
• Proficiency with ETL tools like Apache Airflow and dbt.
• Knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, GitHub, etc.).
• Understanding of data quality, governance, and observability frameworks.
• Preferred: experience in financial services, GIS/spatial data, machine learning basics, cloud certifications.
