Our client is a global manufacturing business based in the Winterthur area and is seeking a Senior Divisional Controller / Finance Business Partner to join one of their Business Groups, consisting of approximately 2,500 employees. The successful candidate will be an advisor to senior leadership and own responsibility for the entire Business Group from a financial perspective.

Head Divisional Controlling & Finance Business Partner (incl. 2 days home office)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to divisional and group leadership by delivering clear financial insights and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reporting, forecasting, and planning in alignment with international accounting standards and internal guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor the local and global finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead financial analysis to support decision-making, enhance profitability, and optimize working capital, cash flow, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies while maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation within finance processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration ideally with a focus on controlling – Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a financial management role with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position within a multinational production company.
  • Solid experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), risk management, as well as a strong understanding of standard costing principles in the area of manufacturing and services.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
  • Excellent PC skills required including Excel, PowerPoint & Word - experience in working with SAP ERP-System is needed.
  • Business fluent in English - strong presentation and communication skills required.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with excellent attention to quality and detail.
  • Open-minded team player who is able to manage a highly versatile and multicultural team.
