The Combustion & Emission Engineer is responsible for the site tuning of combustion and thermodynamic of the gas turbines of the installed fleet. She/He provides support for the execution of service contracts, extensions and product upgrades based on broad knowledge & passion for Ansaldo’s gas turbines.
Your tasks
Plan, prepare and execute combustion related tasks on- and off-site for the installed and serviced gas turbines fleet (GT36, GT26, AE/V94.3A, AE/V64.3A, AE/V94.2) • Lead execution of parameters acquisition and combustion tuning personal presence or remotely as per project requirements • Coordinate with counterparts in other Ansaldo office locations (Italy, Switzerland & Abu Dhabi) • Develop into thermodynamic performance related tasks • Provide extended engineering support for Plant Support topics for combustion & emissions • Ensure that all work is performed according to EHS-, quality- & schedule requirements • Deploy simplifications and lean processes in your area.
Your profile
University degree, background relevant to gas turbines • Motivating, passionate, reliable & goal-oriented personality – required • Being flexible & able to work under pressure and willing to travel worldwide (up to 40% globally, also on short notice) – required • Professional planning & presentation skills. Good knowledge of MS Office applications & Lotus Notes – preferred • Excellent command of English; German and/or French preferred, Italian strongly advantageous.
