Responsibilities:

This role involves developing innovative digital tools in the materials engineering space. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Developing a comprehensive database of advanced materials and applications.
2. Collaborating with software development teams to integrate data into digital tools, including AI applications.
3. Defining requirements and working with software developers to visualize data effectively.
4. Partnering with SMEs across functions to improve data capture and make new data types available.
5. Creating detailed supporting documentation for materials and applications.
6. Developing additional digital features as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Background and Skills:

• 8-10 years of experience in R&D and/or application development roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with engineering materials, their applications, and properties.
• Knowledge of material testing methods and their relevance to application requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence peers.
• Ability to work independently and develop roadmaps to achieve project goals.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Capacity to handle complex situations.
• Data-driven and fact-oriented mindset.
• Creative thinking skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with agile project management.
• Software development experience.
• Familiarity with data tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
