Job Summary

In this role you will perform preventive and reactive maintenance related to the infrastructure, manage sub-contractors and form an active part of a successful team that is committed to success.

Responsibilities

  1. Under the direction of the Data Center Operations Engineering Supervisor, perform preventive and reactive maintenance related to the infrastructure.
  2. Perform daily inspection site rounds.
  3. Utilize the maintenance management system to ensure accuracy of data at all times.
  4. Monitor alarm systems and react to any alarms raised.
  5. Perform small repairs.
  6. Manage sub-contractors and ensure they follow rules set by Equinix.
  7. Perform and follow up visual checks.
  8. On-Call service will be required (1 week/2 months).
  9. Work in shift rotation.
  10. Understand, apply and enforce health and safety rules.

Qualifications

  1. Electrical or Mechanical (Plumbing, Air conditioning or similar) Diploma with proven years of experience.
  2. Experience with critical infrastructure.
  3. Be able to perform small repairs (Electrical, mechanical and plumbing).
  4. Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
  5. Familiar with computing/electronics tools to monitor the site (BMS, displays, etc.).
  6. Familiar with Office Pack (Word, Excel, etc.).
  7. Good in German and English (written/spoken).
  8. Being able to communicate in an efficient way, even during stressful situations, to provide clear written reports and establish clear processes.
  9. Flexible (On-Call).
  10. Driving license.
