Senior Manufacturing Engineer career opportunity with our client on-site in Geneva, New York.
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing processes to develop, implement and monitor measures to improve productivity/efficiency, quality, and safety.
Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, lean, maintenance, quality, and SHE departments to define new processes and optimization activities.
Support the implementation of business strategies related to engineering, reliability, and standardization of operations.
Become a technical expert in plant engineering technologies to facilitate knowledge transfer and apply best practices.
Support troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
Become part of the project teams for investments and support from a process perspective
Resolution of customer incidents (internal & external), Manufacturing support, QOS support Be well versed in company product technologies on processing & equipment.
Lead effort to clarify manufacturing instructions to ensure repeatable operations Set up manufacturing processes with input from R&D, Reliability, production, etc.
Provide process troubleshooting and optimization (DOE) Perform engineering studies, i.e.: design of experiments.
Requirements:
Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar)
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials science, and thermodynamics.
Project management
Six Sigma.
3+ years Manufacturing Engineering, Process optimization, Problem solving, etc.
Managerial experience but not required.
Bachelors Degree Engineering in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. A masters degree is an asset.
