Job Opportunity: Trading Engineer (Contract) – Lausanne or Zurich – 700 CHF/day

Location: Lausanne or Zurich, Switzerland

Duration: 6-month contract

Rate: 700 CHF per day

Are you a talented Trading Engineer with a strong grasp of financial markets and a passion for building robust tools and infrastructure? We are seeking a hands-on technologist to support and develop trading solutions for a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain trading tools and analytics.
• Work closely with traders and quants to develop custom solutions.
• Automate data pipelines and reporting workflows using Python, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Create and maintain Excel/VBA dashboards and tools.
• Integrate with systems and APIs using Java, C#, or other languages where needed.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python (especially Pandas and NumPy).
• Experience with Excel/VBA for financial modeling or reporting.
• Familiarity with either Java, C#, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and trading workflows.
• Comfortable working in high-performance, time-sensitive environments.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in a trading floor or hedge fund environment.
• Understanding of market data feeds and FIX protocols.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or containerization (Docker).

Location: This role is based in Lausanne or Zurich, with some flexibility around hybrid working.
