Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in St Gallen or Zurich. This role offers a hybrid work environment: you will work from the office of one of our major clients in Zurich 2-3 days a week, with the option to work from home for the remaining days within Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deploy and operate scalable, available, secure, and fault-tolerant systems in the finance sector.
  2. Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for IT operational issues to ensure resolution.
  3. Offer SysOps and administration expertise to optimize delivery, resources, availability, and system quality.
  4. Monitor production systems' health, implement proactive alerting, and coordinate with teams for resolution.
  5. Engage in continuous learning through our internal education programs.
  6. Create comprehensive technical and non-technical documentation for IT infrastructure upgrades and implementations.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of experience with Linux server deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  2. Understanding of networking, databases, storage, and virtualization in the finance sector.
  3. Proficiency with Docker, OpenShift, and similar container technologies.
  4. Experience with monitoring tools like Icinga, ELK, or Splunk.
  5. Knowledge of Ansible and GitLab for automation and version control.
  6. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  7. Experience hosting Java environments and configuring Apache and Tomcat.
  8. Fluent in German and proficient in English.
