Join our Central Data & Analytics Team in Zurich as a Data Governance Lead and help shape the organization’s data governance strategy. In this role, you will lead group-wide data governance initiatives, develop frameworks, and provide guidance for local domain adaptations.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, implementing governance frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making and align with the organization’s evolving needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement governance frameworks, standards, and tools to ensure a unified approach across data domains.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to equip domains with shared capabilities, such as metadata management and data catalogs.
  • Establish and oversee access control policies to ensure secure and appropriate data usage across domains.
  • Promote alignment across domains on data quality, data sharing, and compliance, fostering a collaborative and unified data culture.
  • Monitor and adapt governance policies to align with regulatory changes and evolving business priorities.
  • Advise on compliance, risk mitigation, and audit readiness, ensuring the organization remains ahead in a fast-evolving regulatory and technological landscape.

Your Expertise – Our Strength

  • A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of proven experience in data governance, data management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Quality and Data Governance frameworks, with an understanding of their critical impact on business processes.
  • Experience with federated governance models (e.g., data mesh) is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities paired with initiative, flexibility, and reliability in managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical teams, business units, and senior leadership.
  • Broad expertise in data systems, including data warehouses, data lakes, cloud architecture, on-premise databases, hyperscaler services like Azure, and data catalog solutions.
