Role Overview

We need a proactive, hands-on Enterprise & DevOps Architect who will work across data & integration architecture, DevOps, and cloud strategy to drive modernization and scalability. Given our lean team structure, this role is a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, working closely with engineering teams to implement best practices.

Our IT landscape consists of numerous legacy solutions, and while we are actively working on modernization, we lack overarching oversight and a clear architecture simplification approach. This role will play a pivotal role in defining and executing a unified architecture strategy to streamline and standardize our systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise & Integration Architecture
2. Develop and execute the data & integration architecture strategy, ensuring seamless connectivity across legacy and modern systems.
3. Design scalable integration frameworks and API strategies to facilitate interoperability between our customer portals, and partner systems.
4. Define enterprise-wide data governance, security, and standardization practices.
5. Lead the transition from legacy integration patterns to a modern, event-driven architecture.
6. DevOps & Cloud Strategy
7. Establish DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.
8. Architect and implement containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.
9. Define and drive observability, monitoring, and incident response strategies.
10. Partner with engineering teams to optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
11. Implement DevSecOps principles to ensure security is embedded in development and deployment processes.

Execution & Collaboration

1. Work closely with engineering (outsourced, insourced) teams to ensure best practices are followed in a hands-on manner.
2. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
3. Support vendor selection and management for critical technology implementations.
4. Act as a technical leader and mentor to developers and engineers, fostering a high-performing team culture.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 10+ years in enterprise, solution, or DevOps architecture roles.
2. Strong expertise in integration architecture, APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
3. Proven track record in DevOps implementation, including CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native solutions.
4. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
5. Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and cloud automation.
6. Experience working in lean, high-performance teams with a hands-on approach.
7. Ability to drive technical strategy while actively executing solutions.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
