Our client is the asset management division of an international bank in Zurich. We are seeking a Financial Mathematician (m, f, d) for the role of Quantitative Analyst Private Equity Portfolios.

Responsibilities

1. Simulation, analysis, and optimization of private equity/debt portfolios within a small team.
2. Conduct independent research for client portfolios related to financial markets.
3. Provide quantitative support for clients on asset allocation decisions, liquidity scenarios, and risk/performance optimization.
4. Quantitative monitoring of portfolios.
5. Perform detailed portfolio analyses using historical and current data.
6. Assist in benchmarking private market portfolios.
7. Conduct quantitative research comparing current and historical market performance.
8. Determine Value-at-Risk for private equity portfolios.
9. Optimize portfolio allocation based on future market conditions.
10. Collaborate with various teams and optimize investment timelines.
11. Develop risk instruments and tools for analyzing large datasets and track record data.
12. Support current or prospective investors with quantitative insights.
13. Engage in ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Quantitative Finance or Financial Mathematics.
• FRM, PRM, CAIA, or CFA in progress.
• Experience in asset management at a bank, international fund manager, or fund service provider.
• Experience in quantitative analysis of client portfolios in the fund sector.
• Interest in quantitative research for asset portfolios.
• Proficiency with large datasets and statistical software.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused personality.
• Motivated to develop new models or methods.
• Interest in handling large datasets.
• High quality consciousness and accuracy.
• High IT interest; experience with Matlab, Python, SQL, Excel, VBA.
• Excellent communication skills in German (C2/C1) and English.
