Job Position:

Speech Language Pathologist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

Full Time, Part Time, or PRN

Job Purpose:

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure the highest quality of resident care.

Job Functions include:

• Providing quality speech therapy services and initiating referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
• Evaluating and gathering data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
• Developing a treatment plan that includes target lists, short-term, and long-term goals.
• Instructing patients, families, and staff in speech-language procedures to facilitate carry-over of therapeutic goals in daily activities.
• Completing compliant and medically necessary documentation as per CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
• Oversight and implementation of protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs.
• Participating in screening protocols to ensure timely and clinical needs of residents are met.

Education & Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• Active SLP license in the state(s) of practice
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification
