Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead our global growth strategy and drive strategic partnerships with international IVD players. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this high-impact leadership role is preferably based in Basel, Switzerland or the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the global business development strategy for major international partners
  • Take full responsibility for sales quota achievement, forecasting, and revenue growth with global accounts
  • Identify, develop, and close strategic opportunities that create value for customers and BÜHLMANN
  • Build and maintain deep understanding of key stakeholders, market trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Execute go-to-market, sales, and partnership plans to grow profitability and market share
  • Lead contract negotiations, answer RFPs, and manage pipeline and opportunity lifecycle
  • Form and guide cross-functional teams to support complex solution selling and seamless post-sale execution
  • Act as the primary liaison for senior customer relationships (C-Level: CEO, CFO, COO, etc.)
  • Measure success by revenue growth, win rate, profitability, and customer satisfaction (NPS)

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in the diagnostics industry with a focus on business development and strategic partnerships
