Our client is a private equity–backed, fast-growing international company in the logistics sector, with operations across Europe. To further strengthen their sales organization, they are seeking a Sales Manager to lead field activities and oversee sales across Switzerland.
What you will be responsible for
- Independently develop and expand customer relationships in the customs and trade solutions (and occasionally in transportation and supply chain)
- Identify and acquire new customers (approximately 70% of the role focuses on business development) and maintain existing relationships
- Prepare and present tailored solution proposals for complex logistics and customs requirements
- Conduct market analyses and identify new business opportunities
- Use and maintain the CRM system to manage the sales pipeline and activities
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (such as Operations, Product Management, and Legal) in proposal creation and project delivery
- Represent the company at trade fairs, client events, and networking opportunities
What you bring technically
- Completed vocational training or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, sales, international trade, customs, or a related field
- Several years of sales experience in logistics, with a particular focus on customs, trade solutions, and import/export classification
- Solid knowledge of EU customs clearance, fiscal representation, bonded warehousing, and customs compliance
- Hands‑on experience in optimizing cross‑border shipments and transport processes (e.g., EU/Swiss customs regulations, Swiss customs systems, Incoterms, AEO, etc.)
- Strong customer orientation, negotiation skills, and a proven ability to close deals
- Willingness to travel extensively within Switzerland
- Fluency in German (C2/bilingual level) and English is a must. French is a strong advantage
