The IT Head VISP Shared Services and Global Engineering acts as a Business Partner (BP) towards two major organizations within Group Operations, the site VISP Shared Services organization and the Global Engineering organization. In this role, you act as a key contact, advisor & escalation point towards the Visp Site Head, the Visp Shared Services Leadership Team, the Global Head of Engineering and Global Engineering Teams for any IT and OT related matters. In this role you are end to end accountable for the overall IT services provided to the respective business organizations (demand, portfolio of projects, communication, IT and OT technology solutions in scope), in close collaboration with other IT and OT Center of Excellence and governance functions.

You are a senior leader, engineer or IT/OT professional with strong experience in management of IT/OT/infrastructure technology for manufacturing site utilities, facilities and engineering, ideally in a pharmaceutical sector. You are passionate about technologies, you would like to drive digital transformations and impactful projects to make an impact in a dynamic company.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with relevant stakeholders. Attend, as required, VISP site and Global Engineering Leadership Meetings and act as Single Point Of Contact. Provide regular updates and communication.
• Track and ensure digital maturity is continuously increased to enable the business to reach its objectives as well as ensuring business continuity. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, Lead/Steer the implementation of projects and act as escalation instance.
• Develop and maintain IT/OT Site Master Plan and Reporting, in partnership with VISP shared services site leadership team, which purpose is, using Technologies, to enable business to reach its objectives as well as ensuring business continuity.
• Gather and review the technology needs, advise on solutions. Support prioritization of IT/OT projects and change requests. Contribute to the project portfolio process.
• Accountable for the lifecycle management of IT/OT systems in scope of Global Engineering and VISP Site Shared Services. Review and approve major contracts for information technology services.
• Ensure adherence to GMP regulations and IT security policies of new and enhanced solutions. Support internal and external Audits.
• Lead contractor resources and internals in a matrix organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor in the field of Engineering or Technology management.
• Must be business fluent in English & German.
• Strong manufacturing site experience, extensive experience in IT/OT technology management role and engineering roles.
• Advanced number of years of experience on a manufacturing site.
• Experience in global roles/consultancy roles in addition is preferred.
• Strong experience in management of IT/OT/infrastructure technology for utilities, facilities and engineering services.
• Good knowledge of IIoT, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation.
• Management of senior stakeholders and strong communication skills.
• Experience with a demonstrable record of delivering impactful results within large and complex organizations. Comfortable operating in a complex, matrix, and ambiguous environment.
• Experienced business partner, ability to work across boundaries and creating trusting relationships, demonstrating active listening skills.
• External Perspectives / Business Acumen, understanding of pharmaceutical and consumer industry sector.
