Your Impact:
As a key member of our Technology & Sustainability function, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Clariant's innovation future. With an impressive innovation sales portfolio of CHF 600M and a pipeline exceeding CHF 1bn, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our global sustainability journey.
Key Priorities:
- Pioneer our Corporate Innovation Strategy, setting ambitious targets that drive sustainable growth
- Provide critical foundational input that shapes Clariant's strategic direction and decision-making
- Lead a dynamic team of 8-10 professionals while steering innovation activities across business units worldwide
- Establish and drive strategic management frameworks to align research priorities with business objectives
- Orchestrate sustainability-driven portfolio transformation, leveraging public funding opportunities
- Champion innovation capabilities and culture through targeted training programs
- Direct and optimize resource allocation across research initiatives
- Design and implement strategic roadmapping and scenario planning processes
- Build and nurture relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Leverage industry knowledge to identify emerging market opportunities in specialty chemicals
- Connect innovation strategy to chemical industry trends and regulatory developments
- Catalyze collaboration between research teams and commercial functions

Your Experience:
- Advanced degree in a field relevant to the chemical industry, or equivalent experience (MBA is a plus)
- 10+ years of business experience, including strategy consulting and/or innovation leadership in the chemical industry
- Proven track record in orchestrating complex innovation programs across multiple business units
- Experience applying strategic frameworks to drive business transformation
- Experience with organizational transformation and agile methodologies
- Understanding of chemical industry value chains and market dynamics (direct industry experience preferred but not required for strong consulting candidates)
- Deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends
