RFP Technical Project Manager for TDS Platform

Role: Technical Project Manager

Project start date: 15.05.2025

Project term: 21.12.2025

Service time per Week: 100%

Location: Remote (travel to Baden, London and Madrid as per projects

needs when necessary)

Background:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the delivery and coordination of TDS Platform, running on Databricks.

This role is critical in driving projects using an Agile development methodology, ensuring continuous collaboration, iterative delivery, and alignment with

evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding stakeholder management, communication skills, and project delivery expertise, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with defined success criteria.

The candidate will work closely with platform engineers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders across the organization.

We are looking for an individual capable of working autonomously while drawing on insights and guidance from other team members.

Tasks:

·Agile Project Management:Plan and deliver projects using Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), ensuring flexibility, transparency, and continuous improvement.

·Stakeholder Engagement:Act as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders; translate technical updates into clear business language.

·Planning and Coordination:Develop and maintain product backlogs, manage sprint planning, track progress through Agile boards, and facilitate retrospectives.

·Technical Alignment:Collaborate closely with platform engineers and technical leads to ensure solutions are technically robust, scalable, and aligned with platform standards.

·Quality Assurance:Ensure all deliverables meet agreed quality and success criteria, including functionality, reliability, security, and performance.

·Communication:Provide clear, concise, and regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders at all levels.

·Risk Management:Identify potential risks early and lead proactive mitigation strategies.

Process Improvement:Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices based on Agile principles and team feedback.

Experience:

Required Skillset

·Experience: 10+ years of technical project management experience, ideally in data platform or cloud environments.

·Technical Background:Solid understanding of modern data platforms; hands-on familiarity with Databricks, Azure/AWS, Spark, or similar technologies is highly desirable.

·Agile Expertise:Strong experience delivering projects in Agile environments, ideally with formal training (Scrum Master certification or equivalent a plus).

·Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence, manage, and align diverse stakeholders from technical and business domains.

·Communication:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of simplifying complex technical topics.

·Delivery Focus:Highly organized, proactive, and focused on delivering measurable outcomes against agreed success criteria.

·Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, PRINCE2 Agile) are a strong advantage.

·Experience managing data platform transformations, cloud migrations, or large-scale analytics implementations.

·Understanding of data governance, compliance, and data security standards.

·Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD processes in cloud-based environments.
